Te Maru o te Tau Wānanga
Hautuku - Te Maru o te tau
This wānanga is a space where we can sit, share, and learn more about Puanga and its two ritenga [ceremonial] processes.
Conducted during the big moon phases, Ōturu - Oike of the last month of the year, this ceremony takes place during sunset and is the only evening ceremony of Ngā Pou o te Tau.
During the ceremony we will invoke our loved ones who have passed over last year to be placed on Te Whata nā Maru and sent to the whare Mirutai, Te Tatau-o-te-pō at Ruakipōuri. From here she then sends them to the great net of Taramainuku.
Assess your last year and rid yourself of any challenges or problems and reset.
